how bizarre

i've been on the hunt for the last few months to find myself a vintage french sofa with all the tufts and buttery softness one can imagine. i saw a list on craigslist announcing a "shouldn't be missed" estate sale in my neighborhood. i was so excited to dig through records, photos, knick-knacks and anything else that someone else might assume is utter clutter. most importantly i was searching for the aforementioned sofa!

my feelings once we arrived quickly changed from eeeeee! excited to ick :( sadness. i felt like i was walking through this couples home in slow motion. i watched people come and go out of their bedroom and hallway, in and out of there garage and kitchen. this was too sad to even make my sofa hunt enjoyable. is this what happens? we collect, organize family photos, find the best sequin dress for a special night out and it ends up being rummaged through by strangers? i couldn't help but think of the mr and mrs that were holed up in an assisted living home needing all their possessions sold so they could remain "taken care of".

i'm still on the hunt for that special something to sit perfectly under my living-room window, only now i wonder who will be the one to claim it when i depart after my 124yrs (that's the age i decided i would live till when i was about 7).

i suppose you are to enjoy all the beautiful things/people/places you can soak up and when it's time to pass these on to the next {person} you do so with a smile, knowing you had as much fun as you could of ever imagined!

spring fling

spring is in the air, my nose, my lungs, all over my car etc etc. i love this time of year but the older i get the worse my allergies become, holy nerd alert! i took this lil love ride out from the covers yesterday- she needs a bit of spring cleaning herself - nothing a little wd40, rust remover and air in the tires can't fix!

supermarket

sometimes i follow (stalker style) my friends through the grocery store... big thanks to the publix manager for not being a total meanie and making me put my camera away. i was working on a class project and erin was a fantastic friend as usual. she's totally willing to put herself in bizarre situations and have a good laugh the whole time, my friends are pretty rad!

yikes, it's been a few weeks.

started new work, school work, personal work and lovin on my man and puppy sure does take up some time. i'll be posting some new things that have been going on, but for now this is just a a little blurb to say, HI!

hope everyone is adjusting to the time change, i can't wait for warmer spring weather.

i've fallen

over and over again for anthropologie catalogs, they are the best bathroom read and front porch read and glass of wine flip-through. just received my new one recently. if anyone knows of someone who is dating that person that has a connection with their second cousin that would allow me to apprentice or 5th shoot for their team- PLEASE LET ME KNOW- wow, what a dream come true that would be. it would be hard for me to focus with all their sun drenched shoot locations and dreamy atmosphere but i would do it hands down in a heart beat!!!
