she's pretty good at keeping me in line // today she reminded me that i needed to hold true to my promise and show off my crafty gifts for the boy.

my first little token of love is super soft and cozy to warm his toes.

the postcard hung out in the mailbox for a quick second before i quickly suggested he go out and check the mail.

i had a ton of fun with my acrylic paints and sewing junk and he appreciated the personal touch!

i know i know, my previous posts mentioned how we weren't really big on the whole hallmark valentine's day thing, but apparently jeremy decided that was getting too cliche' to say and really surprised me... i mean REALLY!

saturday my parents and i visited the tampa museum of art - it's incredible. i'm so proud of the city getting it's act in gear and truly making it's name known. lightrail, museums, theater, sports, schools, etc. we met jeremy later for lunch and he so nonchalantly pulled this goodie out from behind him.

sunday morning mr. amazing made his lady breakfast in bed and after a few hours of peace and quiet, i was whisked off to what was the most disturbing and entertaining spectacle so far this year- the florida state fair! wowza.

valentine/schmalentine

i started working on my valentine's day surprises for jeremy today. i won't post pictures today (he tends to read this from time to time) however, i'll make sure to post the results after sunday.

i (we) have never been big on this holiday, at least not the whole buying frenzy that seems to precede it. jerms and i decided that this day is set aside for just "us" time, no chores or work or blogging.

last year was a quiet afternoon on honeymoon island, cute name right?? we packed our picnic basket and a blanket and that was it... nothing special was needed. we set up camp on the dog part of the island (this was before miss max, we must've been getting that puppy fever then). the year before that was a surprise picnic he surprised me with on a tiny floating dock on the hillsborough river - we popped champagne (we're fancy like that) and ate a little pasta salad. our motto- involve food in everything! so this year i have no idea what's in store- stay tuned.
